Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru referred about
Kerala Education Bill at a press conference. Whether the
decision to send the bill to Supreme Court is constitutional
or not, the bill will be challenged in the court, he said.

The representatives of Planning Commission
and Government made deliberation on the projects to be
implemented in 1958-59 in Kerala.

E.M.S. said that Kerala’s share
in the Second Five Year Plan is 18.5 crores. Thanneermukkom,
Pothundi, Kattamballi irrigation projects got Planning
Commission’s final consent.

Government orders that Trivandrum,
Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode division education offices
will stop functioning from 1958 January 16 onwards.

Famous British advocate Mrs. D.N. Pritt
and Chief Minister E.M.S. had a meeting. Mr. Pritt is
likely to appear before Supreme Court for Kerala.

Kerala government sets an order that
if workers dismissed from any institutions whose problem
is now in adjudication or arbitration will be given 50
percent of their salary as financial help.

Dr. A.R.Menon inaugurated a deep
X-ray plant for cancer treatment and cardiograph for heart
diagnosis in Kozhikode hospital.
